17.00-22.00 Evening tour to Himmelbjerget (‘The Sky Mountain’). Himmelbjerget, which rises 147 metres above sea level, is (believe it or not) one of the highest points in Denmark. The bus takes us to Silkeborg, from where we will go by boat to the bottom of Himmelbjerget. The boat trip provides the very best possibility for enjoying the most beautiful landscape in this part of Denmark. During the stay in the area surrounding Himmelbjerget, it will be possible to take the 1200 metre hike that leads to the top of the mountain. The area around Himmelbjerget offers varied natural scenery, many lakes, valleys and forests, and the river Gudenåen (the longest river in Denmark), which winds through the landscape. A light meal and coffee and Danish ’lagkage’ will be served. Read more about Himmelbjerget here.
This evening tour begins at 17.00 and ends at c. 22.00
