The 15th International Saga Conference will take place at Aarhus University. The keynote lectures will be held in the Main Hall and the parallel sessions will be held at the Faculty of Theology.
Aarhus Airport is connected to Copenhagen Airport with several daily departures. The flight takes 35 minutes. In Copenhagen a free transit bus links the International and the domestic airport terminals.
Aarhus Airport is located 40 km north of the city, offers direct international flight connections to Oslo, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Helsinki, Gdansk, Malaga and London/Stanstead.
Billund Airport, located 100 km south of Aarhus, has direct international flight connections to Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Frankfurt, London, Manchester, Riga, Oslo, Stockholm, The Faroe Islands, Edinburgh, Stavanger, Bergen, München, Düsseldorf, Rome, Barcelona and Dublin.
Aalborg Airport, located 150 km north of Aarhus, has direct international flight connections to Amsterdam, Reykjavik, London Malaga, Oslo, New York, Boston, Fort Myers and The Faroe Islands.
There is a bus service to Aarhus from Aarhus and Billund airports. The Travelling time from Aarhus Airport to the city of Aarhus is approximately 50 minutes (one way ticket approximately DKK 60) and from Billund Airport to Aarhus approximately 1,5 hours (one way ticket approximately 150 DKK). Taxi service is also available.
There are hourly train service between Aalborg and Aarhus.
There are direct hourly train services from Copenhagen Airport to Aarhus and the journey only takes 3 hours.

Aarhus is only a 3-hour-drive from Hamburg and motorway links are excellent.
Getting from one end of Denmark to the other is easy, whether by car or by ferry. It is possible to go directly by car from Copenhagen to Aarhus by crossing the Great Belt Bridge. The drive takes approximately 2,5 hours. You can also go by ferry from the port of Odden-Aarhus. Se timetable and connections here.
From Britain and the Scandinavian countries there are good ferry-links to a number of cities and towns in Denmark from which there are excellent motorways to Aarhus.
The city bus system in Aarhus is very efficient. Yellow busses depart approximately every 8-10 minutes depending on the busline from around 6 a.m. to midnight.
The following busses take you from the city to the University:
Bus 1A (direction Lystrup / Trige) departs from Park Allé / Banegården opposite the Scandic Plaza Hotel and from Klostertorv close to Cab Inn.
Bus 12 (direction Mejlby / Gl. Kaløvej) departs from Park Allé / Banegården opposite the Scandic Plaza Hotel and from Europaplads close to First Hotel Atlantic.
Bus 13 (direction Vejlby Stenagervej) departs from Park Allé / Banegården opposite the Scandic Plaza Hotel and from Europaplads close to First Hotel Atlantic.
Bus 14 (direction Skejbyparken / Ladefogedvej) departs from Park Allé / Banegården opposite the Scandic Plaza Hotel and from Klostertorv close to Cab Inn.
Bus 18 (direction Mejlby / Gl. Kaløvej) departs from Park Allé / Banegården opposite the Scandic Plaza Hotel and from Klostertorv close to Cab Inn.
All the busses stop at Nordre Ringgade / Randersvej very close to the conference area.
The same buslines take you from the University to the city. All busses depart from Nordre Ringgade / Randersvej. However, there are new directions.
